FROM THE CHAPPY CORNER

Jingeri RSSS Families
This term has been an exciting one - we've had crazy hair and silly sock day, harmony day, cross country, swimming and 96.5FM broadcast LIVE from our school!
It was fabulous to see so many families gather on the lawn for our family breaky on Harmony Day. Thank you for supporting our school and playing your part to build a safe and connected place of belonging here.
We again express our gratitude to Woolworths Underwood for their partnership in supplying fresh fruit and vegetables every Friday through the Healthy Kids Project. Below are some of our Year 6 students enjoying the fruit on Crazy Hair day!
Thanks to the generous support of our school community through Subway and Sushi lunch fundraiser, 96.5 Breaky and Silly Socks and Crazy Hair day, over $600 was raised to help fund our chaplaincy service. Our current shortfall is about $500 a month - if you have capacity to become a donor and contribute just $5 a week that would make a huge difference. If you have questions about our funding please get in touch - Chaplaincy is only partly government funded and relies on community donations to deliver our 2 day service. You can sign on as a donor here https://su.org.au/donate/rochedale-south-ss-chaplaincy-non-tax-deductible/
LOOP EASTER CAMP
Want something fun and exciting to do over the school holidays? Check out this amazing camp for students in Year 5 and 6. The camp is run by school chaplains and volunteers and is great value.

- 26-30 May Chappy Week
Celebrations
I acknowledge and send best wishes to all families celebrating religious observances this season. Lent/Easter and Ramadan/Eid al-Fitr are times of fasting, prayer and family gatherings at this time. May those celebrating experience times of joy as you gather and express gratitude for all you have, share generously with those less fortunate, and remember that love is the way of peace.
Take care of each other over the holidays and see you back and full of clever calm brains for a wonderful term 2!
