Congratulations to all students on their excellent efforts this semester. Thank you teachers, education support staff and families for your continued dedication to delivering excellence in education. Thank you to the P and C also, for all of your support across a number of events and fundraising activities.

A further thank you is extended to all of the staff, families and students who made our events this semester a great success. Most recently Mr Stilianos and the leadership team should be acknowledged for two excellent athletics carnivals backed up by a fantastic Under 8s Day event. These experiences build a strong community connection and we thank everyone for their efforts in making these events so wonderful.

I would like to announce and celebrate Year 6 teacher Mr Hogan for his recent appointment as Highly Accomplished Teacher. Mr Hogan works above and beyond his day-to-day teaching duties to co-ordinate excellent experiences for our students. For those who have seen the musical trailer, and for those whose children have been rehearsing weekly, you will know Mr Hogan’s extra-curricular work well! Congratulations Mr Hogan on this well deserved achievement.

As we end the term, I would like to share some well wishes on behalf of our school community, as we farewell a few valued staff members. To our cleaner Shelley Shannon, our IT guru Ben Hall and our teacher Robyn Oldbury – all the best for where life takes you next. We trust that your time at Rochedale South State School has positively impacted you as much as you have positively impacted our community.
