FROM THE DEPUTY PRINCIPALS

High Expectations of our students, our staff and our community…

As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term, we would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support. It has been wonderful to see our learners grow in confidence, build friendships and take pride in their learning.

As we head into the two-week break, we encourage families to enjoy this special time together. While technology has its place, the holidays are a perfect opportunity to reduce screen time and enjoy more play-based activities. Try spending time outdoors, building with blocks or Lego, sharing books, drawing, or simply playing make-believe together. These kinds of experiences help children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and stronger social connections.

Remember, the Premier’s Reading Challenge is underway encourages children to read and experience as many books as possible. For more information see: 2025 Premier's Reading Challenge

School Uniforms

It is so great to see all our RSSS students in their full winter uniforms and hats every day. The school uniform policy can be found on our school website: Rochedale South SS Uniform Policy with pictures

Congratulations to the following classes for winning a daily prize for the Hat Raffle in Week 10: Prep B, Prep K, 1G, 3P and 3D.

Athletics Days

Our Senior and Junior Athletic Days were fabulous events! These community events are very special to our Rochedale South SS community. Please see the piece from Mr S for more information.

Under 8s Day

Here are some photos of our recent events. We thank everyone for making our sports days and under 8’s day fun, exciting and a huge success.

Prep-2 Before School Play

Prep- 2 Before School play 8:40 – 9 has been very successful. Students have demonstrated respectful, safe play and have expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play with friends before the school bell at 9am. A huge thank you to Ms Harvey who organised staffing and communications so our students could experience a positive start to their day.

We wish you all a safe and restful break and look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the new term.
