Interschool Sport 

Well done to all students who participated in Friday Interschool Sport last semester. Our school fielded 3 Girls Touch teams and 4 Soccer Teams in Logan District Interschool Sport Competitions. It was a slow start to the season with a few rounds cancelled due to rain and waterlogged fields, however it was so great to see student enthusiasm for the season remain high with excellent turnouts and energy at mid-week trainings. 

Special mention to the Senior Girls Touch team (the Titans) who played in a Grand Final in the Final round vs Crestmead, and the Senior B Soccer Team who played in a Grand Final vs Calvary. Both teams finished runners up but should be proud of their effort to finish 2nd in their Division. 

A big thank you to our wonderful teachers who took on coaching teams and refereeing games on Fridays. Mrs Johnstone and Mrs Owens who took Girls Touch, and Mr Hogan who coached the Junior and Senior B Soccer Teams. Also, to our awesome support staff, Mrs Podmore and Mrs Wall who helped manage students and First Aid for teams on Fridays. Interschool Sport wouldn't be possible without the contribution of these staff. 

We look forward to the upcoming Interschool sport season due to commence next week.  

Logan District Sport Representatives

A big congratulations to Conor Facoory who was selected for and represented Logan District in 11-12yr Rugby Union at the Met East Regional Trials on Thursday 22 May at Sunnybank Rugby Union Club. Conor showed great enthusiasm and effort to trial, train and be selected for this team and should be extremely proud of this achievement and his participation in this competition.  

An extended congratulations to a few other of our star Rochedale South students who were selected for and represented Logan District at Regional Trials this semester. Max McCaffrey was selected and represented Logan District in 11-12yr Boys Rugby League. Lily Carlisle represented Logan District in 10yr Girls Cross Country Running, and Amela Hodzic selected for the 10-12yr Girls Football team. Amela is only in Year 4 and trialled against many Year 5 and 6 girls so this is quite an outstanding achievement.  Well done, Amela! 

Congratulations to all of our Rochedale South District Sport Representatives.
