FROM THE DEPUTY PRINCIPAL CRAIG CHARLES
Hello Rochedale South State School community!
It is with great joy that I return to our school following a period of parental leave. During my absence, the leadership team, staff, and students have continued to work with dedication and purpose, ensuring our community remained firmly focused on our school motto – Creative, Resilient, Curious, Learners who are Empowered to Excel. This has been made evident through our Semester One results. I wish to particularly acknowledge Mrs Jennifer Bampton for her continued leadership in guiding our students and community along this path in my absence.
On a personal note, my family and I are overjoyed to share the news of the arrival of our fourth child and second son, Isaac Charles. He was welcomed into our lives with immense joy and thanksgiving, and we are deeply grateful for the love and support shown by our school community during this special time.
Looking ahead, excitement is building for our upcoming production of Matilda the Musical Jr. I have been impressed by the dedication of our cast, the tireless work of our staff, and, most notably, the inspired direction of Mr Hogan. This promises to be a highlight of our school year, and I know our community will be amazed by the talent and effort on display.
Next week, our Year 5 students will embark on their camp to Coolum. This is more than just a trip away – it is an opportunity to grow as leaders, to strengthen communication skills, and to take steps toward defining who they are. We wish them every success in embracing these challenges and experiences.
Since returning, I have had the privilege of celebrating our students’ outstanding achievements at our recent academic and sporting awards. These results are a testament to the focus, discipline, and commitment our students have shown in their learning and pursuits. For those students looking to extend themselves in this semester’s learning, I offer this challenge: set your goals high, work consistently, and know that success is entirely within your reach.

It is a privilege to serve this community and to witness daily the way our students, staff, and families work together to make our school such a vibrant and supportive place.
